What our users say about this title?
"We are performing the Fugue of this selection for our "Saxism Goes for Baroque" concert series and welcome the availability of such a good example of the period. It is imminently playable with clear notation. Although, to make the piece more accessible to less experienced players, I would suggest some double bar lines or cues as the exposition can be daunting. Also, I wonder if the first 6 bars rest for three of the instruments could be grouped together instead of appearing as 1 bar and 5 bars? Probably Sibelius not wanting to put the Allegro indication in a multi-rest! While interpretation is a personal matter, it might also be good to point out that Bach probably did not want "Quick and Lively" by suggesting a tempo/style of Allegro? Listen to the various interpretations of Kenneth Gilbert or Scott Ross on Harpsichord, or Glenn Gould or Sviatoslav Richter on piano. For slightly more advanced players, this is a great piece to figure out breathing and dynamics. Thanks!"
