What exactly am I doing? Well, I am purposely trying to create, put a groove in my finger. An indentation mark in my finger. I'm going to do it with every finger, and I'm going to mark to make it a little more visible, because it's hard to see. Okay, now those marks are going to help me because no matter where I am now, I want to keep my finger in that groove. What this does, is now my fingernail, is pointing over my shoulder no matter where I am. It's pointing at the same direction.

By the way, the ink, it comes off fairly easily.

Do you find that as you get older (we all are...!) you have less fat pads on your fingertips? A cellist friend of mine is having major issues with this, and I notice some difference as well.
