67 years old. Had lessons for 2 years from 8 to 10. Just took it back up two years ago. Struggling.
When I’m learning a piece I read faster than I play
Then I can read in sync. Not up to tempo of piece. After
I memorize the piece I can’t keep up reading while playing
Get in trouble when I forget a segment ( my age? ). Have tried to go back and sight read as I play. It’s a disaster. Any tips?

A wonderful example of dynamics! I have a small ukulele orchestra—four strings, just like violin, viola, but under appreciated for its versatility and skill required. Your videos are valuable for many instruments, and these lessons are transferable in many ways. Thank you!
