Hello and welcome.
Today I'm going to talk about the Virtual Sheet Music showcases.
So what are they? Well, as you may guess, they are presentations of specific virtual sheet music repertoire that you can browse and enjoy for free for unlimited time.
Of course, if you are a member, you have unlimited access, but there are anyway very interesting tools to find new music to play.
So we have seasonal showcases for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, I mean, you name it. We also have showcases for very specific music categories like sheet music for weddings or sheet music from the famous Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky.
So let me show you how they work and how they can help you find the right music for any possible occasion, starting with Christmas and the upcoming holidays.
OK, so if you start from the home page, you can find the showcases under the special menu. As you can see, you can find Thanksgiving music, Christmas music, Hanukkah music.
Of course, we are today is actually Thanksgiving here. So the first one is the Thanksgiving music showcase featured. But I'm going to show you the Christmas music, which can also be reached at this time from the big banner in the home page. So if you go there, you will see the showcase displayed on the page.
And just for the Christmas sheet music, we have over 3000 carols available for any kind of instrumentation. So the way it works is that you select your instrument or ensemble first. As you can see, we have a lot of stuff. And then you decide your skill level. And then the system is going to suggest you the repertoire that answers your selected instrumentation and skill level.
So let's see. By default, it shows you the most popular Christmas carols for a piano voice or other instruments at easy skill level. But let's say that I am a violinist. I want to find something for violin, violin solo. OK, at the moment for violin solo, we have just beginner level music and is going to suggest you this repertoire. So if we decide to display the Christmas carols for beginners, collection number one, we can just select these and the showcase will show us this collection. So if you're logged as a member, you have, of course, access to the whole sheet music without the limits. If you are not a member, you will have a timer going on, which will expire after, I think, three or five minutes. But that should be sufficient to have an idea of the music.
And if that fits your needs, you can simply click on A to cart to either download it as a member or buy it. And you can also click on this link if you want to find out more about this title.
Let's try something different. For example, I'm still a violinist, but I want to find something for violin and cello.
So as a duet, so I'm going to select violin and cello. Still is giving me just one option for the skill level. Easy. And then I can select, for example, collection two and see how it is.
Of course, you can use all the features at the top, such as no playback of the of the examples inside or open into the playground. If the title is enabled for the playground, which gives you more editing options, you know, you can transpose the music, you can change the instruments. Actually, you can really adapt the music to any other instrumentation, which is very handy.
So let's see another example. For example, I play the piano, but I'm an advanced player. So I'm going to find something for piano solo.
I'm going to select advanced as a skill level.
And here we have the suggestions of the collections for Christmas sheet music.
So we have, for example, advanced jingle bells.
OK, this is pretty interesting.
Or we have an entire Christmas variations collection, which is very, very interesting.
And so, as I was saying in the introduction, we have showcases for pretty much the most popular season related celebrations. You know, during this time, we also have Hanukkah. So we have our showcases for Hanukkah sheet music as well. And the same way you can select your instrumentation, select your skill level, and then you will be shown with the options resulting from your selections.
So this is a really nice way to browse a repertoire to find ideas. Another typical showcase used by our customers during this time of the year is the Nutcracker showcase, which features the famous Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky.
And we have several arrangements, as you can see from here, of this fantastic suite.
So, for example, the default one is for piano solo, and we have in two different skill levels. But if you play, I don't know, the trumpet, you find also a version for trumpet and piano, which will be displayed right away because there are no different options to select after the instrument. But I think this should give you an idea.
And of course, we have many more showcases, such as the Wedding sheet music showcase. We just had the Halloween sheet music showcase a few weeks back.
And we also have the New Year's music showcases. So if you want to get ready for that New Year's celebration, just head over the New Year sheet music showcase to find the right music for you. As usually, select your instrument first and then your skill level, and you will be shown with options of the repertoire to choose from.
All right. So what do you think about this sometimes overlooked feature on Virtual Sheet Music? If I were you, I would jump right on it to try some of the music we have just to get ready for the holidays.
All right. So we are done for today. And as usual, please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for any upcoming videos. Just post your comments in the comments below or send an email to tipsandinsights@virtualsheemusic.com. I love to hear from you. All right. Thanks for watching and happy holidays.
